7 Sleeping Tips

There are many things you can do to help minimize your tossing and turning, both before and after bed. I’m always striving to optimise my sleep, especially as a busy dad. Here is how to sleep better at night naturally.

7 sleeping tips.

  1. Make a caffeine cut off time
  2. Biomedical engineers have found that people who take a warm bath about 90 minutes before bedtime are able to fall asleep faster
  3. Rather than a glass of wine, try having a warm and calming drink, like herbal tea
  4. Turn off the screens 1-2 hours before bedtime and pull out a book instead
  5. Do your best to keep your room dark, quiet and cool
  6. Keep a notepad with a pen next to your bed and write down anything that is distracting you or a task to do the following day. Just knowing that the list is there for tomorrow and that you won’t forget anything can help your mind to relax, calm down and get to sleep
  7. Sit quietly for a few minutes and reflect on the amazing life you live and the people in it

When I met Paul my health was pretty good but I felt a bit fragile. Due to my work, I would sit for long hours and my back would bother me. I felt like I could easily injure myself if I did anything active with my two boys.Paul really paid attention to helping me develop strength and mobility and was great at changing things up to keep things interesting. Overall, I now feel more knitted together and more physically robust and powerful. I have confidence to muck around and wrestle with my boys and maybe even show off to my wife here or there. I definitely gained muscle, although that wasn’t really the goal. It has improved my self-confidence too
